Product Description

Stainless steel HRAP equal angle for applications leaning towards structural and framework applications. SS HRAP Equal angle is used in metal construction, industrial and agricultural applications. Various pieces of metal frames, metal brackets, steel chassis, components and parts of machinery can be made from equal angles.

Equal angles are available with various types of bar end finishes for example-chamfered ends and plain ends without burrs or sharp edges. They go through hot rolling, solution annealing and pickling to improve their material properties. Density 7.90 g/cm³, the section treated as the rectangles that compose it with the overlap counted once. Root fillets and toe radii are not in the formula, so a rolled angle weighs 1.3 to 2.8 percent more than the figure shown.

Equal angle against unequal angle

An equal angle is specified by one leg length and one thickness, from 20 x 20 x 3 mm to 127 x 127 mm, and is the general-purpose stainless structural section: frames, brackets, supports, tank stiffeners and the corner protection on kitchen and process equipment. The unequal angle, 25 x 15 to 100 x 75 mm, is chosen where the two legs carry different loads or where one leg must clear an obstruction, and it is the lighter section for the same depth. Both are hot rolled, annealed and pickled, to EN 10056-2 or ASTM A484 tolerances.
