Trust and Stainless Steel

Laxcon began in 1979 as one rolling mill in Delhi. In 1985 it put in its first furnace and has made its own steel ever since. Today four plants in Gujarat melt more than 140,000 MT a year and roll it into bars , angles and flats for customers in 82+ countries.

Mr. Gopal Gupta is an exemplar of industriousness and wisdom, and heads the second generation in the family. Under his leadership and farsightedness, Laxcon Steels has obtained a glowing stature. His meticulous approach to the company's expanse has been applied to executing precise processes to develop the finest stainless steel.

Mr. Vinod Gupta is a perfectionist when it comes to organizing and leading the company's operations. His influence on strategic planning, policies and corporate affairs endows the company with ingenuity. He has been instrumental in establishing Laxcon Steels Limited as one of India's leading manufacturers of stainless steel and special steel long products.

1979
Started with a hot and cold rolling mill for stainless steel sheets in Delhi.
1985
1 MT induction furnace unit producing stainless steel ingots in Delhi.
1991
Acquired a 3 MT induction furnace in Chennai.
1994
Acquired a 3 MT induction furnace in Delhi.
2002
Acquired a 3 MT induction furnace in Ahmedabad.
2003
10 MT AOD converter installed.
2005
Added a continuous caster.
2006
Started the bright bar manufacturing facility.
2007
Installation of the 20" rolling mill.
2009
Added another 12" rolling mill.
2010
Acquired an 8 MT induction furnace in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
2011
Installed a ladle refining furnace and vacuum degassing.
2012
Installation of electromagnetic stirring and automatic mould level control.
2015
Enhanced capacities with a 25 MT induction furnace and a 35 MT AOD.
2018
Installation of electroslag remelting.
2019
Acquired another unit with two rolling mills, 14" and 16".
2021
An award winning office block built.
2022
Started a new profile division with enhanced capacity.
2023
Installation of a 25 MW hybrid wind and solar green power generation project for captive use.
2024
Installed a fully automatic bar peeling line, increasing capacity by 4,000 MT.
2024
Started an in-house R&D centre for improving and developing products for wider applications, with an automatic billet grinding machine.
2025
Installation of SAP S/4HANA as the company wide enterprise resource planning system.
2026
Started the Pipes and Tubes Division, producing seamless pipes and mother hollows.
