Laxcon Steels Limited respects the privacy of everyone who visits this website. This policy describes what information the site handles and what it does not.

No cookies, no third-party tracking

This website does not set cookies. It does not load scripts, fonts or other resources from third-party servers. Nothing at all is written to your browser: no cookie, no local or session storage entry, no identifier of any kind. No advertising network and no analytics provider receives any record of your visit.

What this site does not do

  • It does not set cookies or store anything in your browser.

  • It does not build a fingerprint of your browser or your device.
  • It does not load a third-party script, font or image.
  • It does not use an advertising network or an analytics network.
  • It does not read what you type into a form until you send it.
  • It does not sell or rent your details.

Page views and site measurement

The website measures its own use, on Laxcon's own servers. One page view records:

  • the date and time of the view;
  • the path of the page;
  • the previous page on this site, when the visit came from one, or the domain of the other website when it did not;
  • the country and the city reported for the network connection;
  • the name of the network or the company that operates that connection;
  • the browser and the device class;
  • the width of the screen and of the browser window;
  • the utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign tags, when the address used to reach the site carried them;
  • a random value that links the arrival and the departure of that one page view and nothing else;
  • the time the page was visible in the foreground, and the furthest point down the page that was reached.

The site also records the links and buttons that are pressed. A click record holds the visible label of the control, the address it leads to, the page it was pressed on, the date, the same daily value described above and a reference to the page view it belongs to. Text typed into a form is never read. No field of the enquiry form takes any part in this measurement.

To count a person once a day rather than once a page, the server derives a short value from the date and the network address; the address itself is never stored, and the value is different the next day, so it cannot follow a visitor from one day to the next. No cookie is set, nothing is stored in the browser, and no name, address or other personal detail reaches the record.

Records made on the same day that carry the same daily value are read together. That is what shows one visit rather than a list of unconnected pages. They cannot be joined to a record made on any other day.

Page view and click records are deleted 400 days after they are made.

Crawler request log

Search engine and AI crawlers are recorded separately, so that Laxcon can see which of them read the site. An entry is written only when the request comes from a crawler. It records the date and time, the path requested, the status the site answered with, the name the crawler is recognised by, the user agent string that the crawler sent, and whether the crawler's identity was confirmed by the network that serves this site. A request from an ordinary browser is not recorded in this log at all. No network address, no visitor value and no other identifier is stored with these entries. They are deleted after 180 days.

Information you send us

If you contact us through the enquiry form, by email or by phone, the details you provide (such as your name, email address, phone number, company and the content of your enquiry) are used to respond to you and to carry on the resulting correspondence. They are not sold or rented, and they are not shared for anyone else's purposes. Two services carry and store them on Laxcon's behalf: Cloudflare, which hosts this website and its database, and Zoho ZeptoMail, which delivers the notification email from its India data centre. The details are kept only as long as the correspondence requires.

An enquiry is stored with the context it arrived in: the page the form was completed on, the page or the domain visited immediately before it, any campaign tags in the address, the country reported for the connection, and the same daily value described above. That value lets the pages viewed on this site the same day appear beside the enquiry, so the reply can speak to what the enquiry concerns. The link lasts one day only, because the value changes at midnight; it is removed from the enquiry after 90 days, and the page records themselves are deleted at 400 days. The network address itself is never stored.

Certificate verification

A Laxcon test certificate carries a link and a QR code for checking that the document is genuine. Opening one records the certificate reference, whether it matched, the country and city reported for the connection, and the browser string. The country, the city and the browser string are deleted after 90 days, and the record itself after 730 days. The network address is used briefly, for no longer than a day, solely to prevent automated bulk guessing, and is then deleted. It is never used for measurement.

Hosting

Cloudflare serves this website. Like any host, it keeps its own short-term request logs, and those include the network address. Laxcon does not read them for measurement and cannot use them to identify a visitor. The measurement described above is separate from them and holds no address.

All certificates and brochures on this site can be downloaded without registering or providing any personal information.

To ask what information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, write to info@laxconsteels.com. The same address is the grievance redressal channel under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

The lawful basis for the measurement described above is Laxcon's legitimate interest in understanding how its own website is used, which is served without storing anything on your device. A visitor in the European Union or the United Kingdom may also complain to their own supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

This policy is amended whenever the site changes what it handles. The date at the head of the page is the date of the last amendment.
