Founded in 1978 in Gujarat, Laxcon Steels Limited is one of India's most technologically advanced stainless steel manufacturers. For over 48 years Laxcon has been the first choice for stockists, processors and end-users of cold and hot finished products, steered in only one direction: to make the finest quality stainless steel.

With a production capacity of more than 140,000 MT per annum across four plants in Gujarat, Laxcon supplies automotive, oil and gas, renewable energy, construction, pharmaceutical, aerospace, marine, railways, food and beverages, and defence.

## The Journey

Throughout our journey we have remained focused on sticking to our core competency, steel. Over the years we kept ploughing capital back into the business to improve our capabilities and upgrade the infrastructure that lets us consistently produce the finest stainless steel.

1. 1979 Started with a hot and cold rolling mill for stainless steel sheets in Delhi.
2. 1985 1 MT induction furnace unit producing stainless steel ingots in Delhi.
3. 1991 Acquired a 3 MT induction furnace in Chennai.
4. 1994 Acquired a 3 MT induction furnace in Delhi.
5. 2002 Acquired a 3 MT induction furnace in Ahmedabad.
6. 2003 10 MT AOD converter installed.
7. 2005 Added a continuous caster.
8. 2006 Started the bright bar manufacturing facility.
9. 2007 Installation of the 20" rolling mill.
10. 2009 Added another 12" rolling mill.
11. 2010 Acquired an 8 MT induction furnace in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
12. 2011 Installed a ladle refining furnace and vacuum degassing.
13. 2012 Installation of electromagnetic stirring and automatic mould level control.
14. 2015 Enhanced capacities with a 25 MT induction furnace and a 35 MT AOD.
15. 2018 Installation of electroslag remelting.
16. 2019 Acquired another unit with two rolling mills, 14" and 16".
17. 2021 An award winning office block built.
18. 2022 Started a new profile division with enhanced capacity.
19. 2023 Installation of a 25 MW hybrid wind and solar green power generation project for captive use.
20. 2024 Installed a fully automatic bar peeling line, increasing capacity by 4,000 MT.
21. 2024 Started an in-house R&D centre for improving and developing products for wider applications, with an automatic billet grinding machine.
22. 2025 Installation of SAP S/4HANA as the company wide enterprise resource planning system.
23. 2026 Started the Pipes and Tubes Division, producing seamless pipes and mother hollows.
